How to season grated carrots?

The soft, sweet taste of carrots blends easily with many spices, sauces, herbs and seasonings. Here's an overview of all the seasoning possibilities to make them sublime.

What herbs and spices to use with grated carrots?

Choose spices such as cumin (preferably granulated), paprika, turmeric or ground ginger. The aniseed and slightly lemony flavors of cumin and the mild bitterness of turmeric and ginger will give them plenty of flavor while giving them a variety of gustatory hues.

As for aromatic herbs, rosemary, sage, and thyme but also dill bring them plenty of fragrance.

Tart vinaigrettes to balance the sweetness of carrots

To balance the sweetness of carrots and give them a little more fat, bind and indulgence, slightly tart vinaigrettes are ideal options:

Lemon juice and cumin: this is the seasoning most used with this recipe. A lightly acidic and tangy dressing that counterbalances the sweetness of the vegetable.

Orange and cumin: the acidity and sweetness of orange and the aniseed flavors of the Mediterranean spice go very well with carrots.

Soy sauce: for a preparation with Asian hues, combine them with a soy sauce dressing. Mix minced bean sprouts, sesame oil and soy sauce, season and you're ready to go. This vinaigrette will give them plenty of strength and flavor thanks to the pronounced flavors and saltiness of the soy sauce.

Chives, lemon juice and mustard: a seasoning full of acidity and spiciness.

Lemon, mustard, honey, oil of your choice, parsley: a seasoning recipe with sweet and savory touches that will give your dish new reliefs and plenty of gourmandise.

Hazelnut oil: prepare a classic vinaigrette and top it with hazelnut oil for gourmet, delicate praline flavors.
